Event Information:

Event Schedule:

NorthSail takes place between the 28th of June and 1st of July, over the weekend in the middle of Queensland School Holidays and coinciding the Show Holiday long weekend in Townsville. The schedule of events is as follows:

Tuesday 25th June, 2200 - Registrations Close
Thursday 27th June, 1100 - Rigging Area Opens
Friday 28th June, 0900 - NorthSail Clinic starts (be rigged and ready to go)
Friday 28th June, 1600 - NorthSail Clinic Day 1 concludes
Saturday 29th June, 0900 - NorthSail Clinic Day 2 starts
Saturday 29th June, 1500 - NorthSail Regatta Competitor Check-in Commences (concludes 1700)
Saturday 29th June, 1600 - NorthSail Clinic concludes
Saturday 29th June, 1700 - NorthSail Regatta Welcome BBQ ($15pp)
Sunday 30th June, 0830 - Northsail Regatta Competitor Briefing (TSC Lawn Marquee)
Sunday 30th June, 1000 - Northsail Regatta Sailing Session 1
Sunday 30th June, 1400 - Northsail Regatta Sailing Session 2
Monday 1st July, 0930 - Northsail Regatta Sailing Session 3
Monday 1st July, 1330 - Northsail Regatta Sailing Session 4
Monday 1st July, 1630 - Northsail Regatta Presentation - ASAP after sailing (TSC Lawn Marquee)

Event Site and Layout:

The event is at Townsville Sailing Club, located at 1-3 Mariners Drive, Townsville. Below is an outline of the event layout:

Trailer Storage:

The rigging area needs to be left clear of vehicles and trailers. A trailer storage area is provided for competitors at 14/29 Mariners Drive. The trailer storage area is only a short drive from the club and is illustrated in the map below:

Other Useful information:

Strand Water Park	2 minutes walk along the Strand – a fun place for the kids to play after racing or to take younger siblings. Completely Free!!
Ice Cream Shops	Hopscotch (just across the Strand) Juliette's (6 minutes walk along the Strand towards Gregory Street)
Great Places to Eat	Tobin Fish Tales (4 minutes Drive to Cnr Landsboorugh & Warburton Street, North Ward). Regatta sponsor and best Fish and Chips in Town Dominos Pizza (10 minute walk to North Ward Shops). Regatta sponsor Townsville Yacht Club (6 minutes drive to Plume Street South Townsville). Regatta Sponsor. Relaxed restaurant dining and bar overlooking the yacht club marina.
Places to Stay	Rowes Bay Holiday Park Mariners North Holiday Apartments Yongala Lodge The Ville Resort and Casino Ardo (for the upmarket sailor!)
