Tropies and club awards - a little history

The Kurrimine Kup.

In the 1970s there was a small sailing club at Kurrimine Beach where they sailed Heron class sailboats.
The cup was started by a local Councillor, Ces Anderson.
Since Mission Beach Sailing Club acquired the Kup in the late 1970’s it was made it an inter club competition with the largest fleet of boats which has always been Lasers. Results are based on taking 3-5 boats (whatever number 2 or more clubs have). Then do the overall results on those boats.
2023 was the first year for a long time that Tville has won.
The Hines family was behind the Kurrimine Sailing Club.
