Start Dinghy Sailing in a female supportive environment, Thursday afternoons.

Starting on Thursdays May 2nd 4.30 pm - 7pm, 6 consecutive sessions for Women and Girls. 

Complete 5 or more sessions to gain your level 1 certification.

Not sure?  Email us to sign up for session 1 (May 2nd) the cost of this session will be taken off the full course registration the following week.

The course cost is $300 for all 6 sessions or $60 per session.

Post course - club boats are avalible for hire and support will be provided for Sunday practice sessions to contune to develop skills.

Course Overview

This course introduces participants to dinghy sailing and its fundamental skills so they learn terminology and equipment and practice launching and returning to shore and capsize recovery. 

Course Prerequisites

Water confident.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a dinghy. All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Sailing 1 completion certificate. 

We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. To learn more, click here.
