Register now for a 30 minute try sail experience at Queensland's Sailing Club of the Year (2019).

All welcome!

Bring along a sense of adventure and please wear stinger and sun protective clothing.

Let our experienced Sailing Instructors safely introduce you to their favourite sport.  Sailing on the beautiful waters of Cleveland Bay you will be taken out in a Pacer sailing dinghy off The Strand beach just outside the club.  Enjoy a different view of Castle Hill and our tropical city, you may even spot a turtle!

Take the opportunity to discover sailing and find out about the many courses or volunteer roles Townsville Sailing Club has to offer.  Relax at the club enjoying sea views with a cool drink pre or post sailing.

Spaces are limited, registration fee $10 per participant, $20 family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children)

Discover Sailing Day – Come and Try Sailing!

Ever wondered what it’s like to go sailing? Join us for a Discover Sailing Day and experience the thrill of being on the water while exploring your local sailing club.

• No experience needed – just bring your sense of adventure
• Perfect for families, friends, and anyone curious about sailing
• Friendly club members will be there to welcome you and answer questions

Prerequisite: For safety reasons, participants must be confident in and around the water.

By the end of the day, you’ll have:

• Experienced sailing firsthand
• Discovered the fun and community spirit of your local club
• Learned about exciting courses, activities, and ways to keep sailing
